No visit to Kenya is complete without experiencing the Masai Mara and the Masai Mara is, justifiably, on most people’s wish list.

Its landscapes are awe inspiring and the game viewing equally spectacular. The vast open spaces create landscapes on a large scale where animals roam freely. The annual wildebeest ‘Great Migration’ is a wonder to behold from the months of July or early August to November. Lions, leopards and cheetahs are regularly seen as are large herds of elephants and rarer black rhinos.

In peak season the Masai Mara, famous for ‘Big Cat Diary’ and Disney’s ‘African Cats’, has multiple family friendly camps, lodges and superb game viewing options. So although it does attract many visitors, especially at popular viewing points, our experts will be able to choose camps where possible that enable you to escape and have some respite from the crowds.
