Peru is a vast and diverse country with stunning landscapes from mountains to jungles and from deserts to beaches.
Over ten thousand years of history covering Inca and Spanish Empires have left their mark in this country rich in cultural heritage and traditions. From the lost city of Machu Picchu – one of the Seven New Wonders of the World – the floating islands of Uros in Lake Titicaca, the puzzling Nazca Lines and ancient Cusco and the Sacred Valley – there is much to see.
And then there is the Amazon. Much of Peru is swathed in the green jungles of the Amazon Basin and Peru, in our opinion, is possibly the best place to observe its varied wildlife. Peru is not just about history and wildlife, however, nowadays the capital city, Lima, is also a foodie haven.
