Kenya’s vast plains offer some of the world’s best safari experiences. This holiday features two separate regions – Masai Mara and Samburu – and a night in Nairobi. Masai Mara is justifiably on most people’s wish list. Its landscapes are awe inspiring and the game viewing equally spectacular, especially during the Great Migration. Samburu National Reserve, traversed by the Ewaso Nyiro River, is a smaller reserve with more good game viewing.
- Visit the vast open spaces where animals roam freely in Kenya

Days 3 to 5: Samburu – Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Elephants numbers are large as are zebras, antelopes and other grazing animals. Large grazing herds also means predators in search of food, so lions, leopards and cheetahs are often seen.

Lions, leopards and cheetahs are regularly seen as are large herds of elephants and rarer black rhinos. In peak season the Masai Mara does attract many visitors especially at popular viewing points, so our experts’ choose camps where possible that enable you to escape and have some respite from the crowds.
