Posada Amazonas is owned by the indigenous Ese-Eja community and located within their communal reserve. Accessible from Puerto Maldonado, the lodge offers ample opportunities to see wildlife including squirrel and howler monkeys, parrots, macaws and giant river otters.

Posada Amazonas is perfect for a first taste of the Amazon rainforest in comfort and with good facilities. Wildlife viewing in abundance from the lodge’s 30-meter canopy tower and boat trip on Lake Tres Chimbadas. You also visit Centro Ñape, a traditional community clinic, to learn about medicinal plants and a working jungle farm, where you can taste exotic tropical fruits. On returning to the lodge enjoy massages and aromatherapy at the wellness centre.
