The Plaza family invite you to share life at their authentic hacienda.

Dating from the XVI century, Hacienda Zuleta lies in the Andes at 9,600 feet (2,800 metres) above sea level near Otavalo, about two hours north of Quito. Zuleta is a colonial working farm of 4,000 acres owned for more than a century by the family of Mr. Galo Plaza lasso, a former president of Ecuador.

Hacienda Zuleta offers guests a variety of activities and places to visit on horseback or mountain bike – the farm, the town or Andean Condor conservation programme headquarters. The hotel has antique gardens and cosy lounges and reading rooms where guests can relax. Delicious Ecuadorian cuisine is served in the restaurant with organic vegetables, trout and dairy products produced in the Hacienda.
