Days 1 and 2: London to Johannesburg to South Luangwa

Fly overnight from London via Johannesburg to Lusaka in Zambia where you take a light aircraft to South Luangwa.

Days 2 to 4: South Luangwa – Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Few places in Africa have as much wildlife as the Luangwa Valley. Waterways, plains and woodlands have plentiful game – with good populations of lion, elephant, zebra and leopards in particular as well as about 400 species of birds. Activities are many and varied and include excellent game drives (day and night) as well as guided walking tours and boat trips.

Day 5: South Luangwa to Lower Zambezi

Transfer by light aircraft to the Lower Zambezi.

Days 5 to 7: Lower Zambezi – Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Stay on the banks of the Lower Zambezi River, From your camp you can watch wildlife coming to drink, especially elephants and hippos, retreat to the camp’s hides to observe other animals and birds or paddle the waterways to explore further afield.

Day 8: Lower Zambezi to Livingstone

Fly to Livingstone via Lusaka.

Day 8 to 10: Victoria Falls – Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner including activities

Three days to take in the spectacle of Victoria Falls. Staying in a lodge there will be time to take in a last game drive or canoe trip on the mighty Zambezi in search of water based animals and birds. Naturally you will want to make the most of your proximity to Victoria Falls to view it on land and possible also from the air or on water. Thrill seekers may enjoy bungee jumping or white water rafting, whilst those seeking a more sedate experience will enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi.

Day 11: Livingstone to Johannesburg to London

Today you fly from Livingstone to Johannesburg for your overnight flight to London.

Day 12: London

Arrive back in UK.
