Embark on a 15-night adventure to South Africa and Mauritius. Your first stop is Cape Town, one of our favourite cities, set in a spectacular location with Table Mountain as its backdrop. There are many memorable sights to visit, including the country’s oldest building, The Castle, the historic Parliament Buildings, City Hall, the Slave Lodge, and the unforgettable Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years. From Cape Town, you’ll fly to Kruger to spend three nights on safari at the Abelana River Lodge, an unforgettable highlight of many holidays.

And then to Mauritius, where you’ll spend 7 nights (all-inclusive) at Beachcomber Canonnier. You’ll have plenty of time to relax poolside or on the beach. And if you’re still feeling energetic, you can explore the island’s many highlights.

Days 3 & 4: Cape Town

Nelson Mandela is an integral part of the modern history of South Africa. Take a ferry to Robben Island, where he was imprisoned for many years in his fight for freedom and equality. In the afternoon, maybe a visit to view the amazing plants in Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or the fish in the Two Oceans Aquarium.

Fly from Cape Town to Hoedspruit (Kruger airfield) and Abelana River Lodge for a 3-night stay (full board excluding drinks).

Days 6 & 7: Abelana River Lodge

A typical day on safari starts early – before dawn – as you get up in time to catch the animals waking up after a night’s sleep. You will go out with your guide/tracker in a small jeep to roam the park searching for wild animals. Wildebeest and zebra are easily observed, but cheetahs, lions and leopards may be harder to find.

Day 8: Hoesdpruit (Kruger airfield) to Johannesburg to Mauritius

Flight to Johannesburg and on to Mauritius.

Days 9 to 14: Beachcomber Canonnier

Enjoy a 7-night all-inclusive stay at Beachcomber Canonnier. Spend your days relaxing on the beach, lazing beside the pool and having lunch overlooking the Indian Ocean. Or, if you’re in the mood for more adventure, venture further afield and explore the island’s many highlights.

Days 15 & 16: Mauritius to London

Time to end your holiday and head back home.
