Example Itinerary
Day 1: London to Lima
Fly to Lima, Peru’s capital city.
Days 1 to 3: Lima
Three days to enjoy Lima. We include a guided half-day city tour, taking in some of this fascinating city’s archaeological and historic sights. You will visit the Larco Museum, where Peru’s ancient past is illustrated in a pre-Colombian art collection. We also include an evening gourmet dining experience to introduce you to the culinary delights of Lima, now home to some of the world’s top restaurants. Day 4: Lima to Cusco to Sacred Valley. Fly from Lima to Cusco and then on to the Sacred Valley.
Days 4 to 6: Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu
Three days to explore the highlights of the Sacred Valley. We include three full-day excursions. A day visit to the market town and ruins of Pisac and the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo with lunch in a local restaurant. A full-day tour, with lunch in a local restaurant, taking in Chinchero, an authentic Andean village, the salt fields of Maras and Inca terraces. A day visit by train to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas.
Day 7: Sacred Valley to Cusco
Take a train from the Sacred Valley to Cusco.
Days 7 and 8: Cusco
Two days to explore Cusco, a beautiful colonial city and former capital of the Incas. One of South America’s most important archaeological sites, Cusco, has vast Inca ruins, such as Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Wengo Amphitheatre and Inca baths, as well as churches, the cathedral and squares dating from Spanish colonial times. We include a guided tour of the city centre and surrounding ruins.
Day 9: Cusco to Lima
The journey starts with a flight to Lima and ends with an overnight flight home.
Day 10: London
Arrival in London.
