Day 1: London to Dar Es Salaam

Fly from London Heathrow to Dar Es Salaam.

Day 1: Dar Es Salaam

On arrival in the evening you spend a night in Dar Es Salaam.

Day 2: Dar Es Salaam to Selous

A short flight from Dar Es Salaam to Selous.

Days 2 to 4: Selous Game Reserve – Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

For three days you can expect to experience some of Africa’s best game viewing without the crowds. Selous Game Reserve in southern Tanzania is Africa’s largest and home to large herds of elephants, hippos, zebra, impala, wildebeest and some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos as well as a healthy population of lions. Birdlife abounds too with more than 400 species of birds having been recorded in the area.

Day 5: Selous Game Reserve to Ruaha National Park

Today you will be transferred to Ruaha National Park

Days 5 to 7: Ruaha National Park – Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Three days to spend taking in the sights of Tanzania’s largest national park on game drives with experienced guides. Wildlife is attracted to the river that runs through the park, particularly in the dry season from May to November, which makes sightings more reliable. You can reasonably expect to see large herds of elephants – 12,000 pass through the park each year – buffaloes, zebra, kudu and wild dogs. The large herds attract predators including large prides of lions, as well as cheetah and leopard. A real game viewing treat.

Day 8: Ruaha National Park to Dar es Salaam to Nairobi to London

Today you will be transferred to Dar es Salaam airport for your flight back to London via Nairobi.

Day 9: London

Arrive back in London.
