Day 1: London to Lima
Fly to Lima, Peru’s capital city.
Days 1 to 3: Lima
Lima has a long history dating back centuries to Inca times. Over three days you discover and enjoy the delights of this fascinating city. A half-day tour is included to take you to important museums, churches and sights. In recent times, Lima has earned a reputation for its cuisine, and we include a gourmet evening dinner.
Day 4: Lima to Amazon Basin
Fly from Lima to Puerto Maldonado and onward to your lodge.
Days 4 to 6: Amazon Rainforest
Stay four days in a remote Amazon lodge and discover a vast array of wildlife and plants on excursions by boat or on foot, including an unforgettable nighttime safari.
Day 7: Amazon to Sacred Valley
Fly from Puerto Maldonado to Cusco and then on to the Sacred Valley.
Days 7 and 8: Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu
Tour of the Sacred Valley visiting the market town and ruins of Pisac.
The next day, take the train to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas. Stay overnight in Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Days 9 to 11: Sacred Valley & Cusco
Morning visit to Machu Picchu and then an afternoon train journey to Cusco. Two days to explore Cusco, a beautiful colonial city and former capital of the Incas. We include a half-day guided tour of the city centre and nearby Inca ruins.
Day 12: Cusco to Puno, Lake Titicaca
A scenic journey across the altiplano, taking in the landscapes and sights of Peru.
Days 12 and 13: Puno, Lake Titicaca
Take a boat on Lake Titicaca to the floating islands and Inca ruins.
Day 14: Puno to Lima to London
Fly from Puno to Lima for your flight home to London.
Day 15: London
Arrival in London.
