Days 1 and 2: Panama City | Meals: Breakfast
Fly to Panama City, the capital city.
A guided tour will take you to visit the different parts of Panama City. Founded in 1519, the city was looted by pirate Henry Morgan in 1671 though parts of the historic old city remain today. In 1673 the Spaniards built a new walled city known as Casco Viejo. Walk through the narrow streets and appreciate its beautiful colonial and neoclassical architecture, different squares and monuments and then on to the famous Panama Canal. On the second morning, we offer an optional helicopter ride over Panama, affording first-class views of the city, the canal, nearby villages and the surrounding jungle.
Day 3: Panama City to Portobelo
Transfer by road to Portobelo.
Days 3 and 4: Portobelo | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Portobelo was once the port from which Peruvian treasures were shipped. Guided day trip into the jungle by road and canoe to visit a traditional indigenous Embera native settlement.
Day 5 : Portobelo to Boquete
Transfer by road to Panama City for a short flight to Boquete.
Days 5 to 7: Boquete | Meals: Breakfast
Boquete is a small town on the Caldera River in the highlands of Panama. Popular with holidaymakers for its cooler climate and stunning scenery. On day one, you will take a private guided tour of a coffee plantation with the chance to roast your own coffee. On the second day, we include a full-day river rafting through picturesque mountain scenery on the Chiriqui Viejo River.
Day 8: Boquete to Caribbean Coast
Drive to the local airport for a short flight to Bocas del Toro.
Days 8 to 10: Caribbean Coast | Meals: Breakfast
Three days of relaxation to end your holiday on beautiful, unspoilt beaches diving and snorkelling on pristine coral reefs.
Day 11: Bocas del Toro to Panama City to London | Meals: Breakfast
A short flight to Panama City, then an overnight flight to London.
Day 12: London
Arrival in London.
