Day 1: London to San Jose
Fly to San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital city. Overnight stay.
Days 1 and 2: San Jose | Meals: Breakfast
It’s time to recover from your journey and explore San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital city. The architecture is diverse, with many houses and buildings of European inspiration. Do not miss the National Theatre, Costa Rica’s pride, inaugurated in 1897.
Day 3: San Jose to Tortuguero National Park
Drive from San Jose to Tortuguero National Park.
Days 3 and 4: Tortuguero National Park | Meals: Breakfast
Tortuguero National Park is a maze of rainforest and rivers. Your naturalist guides will take you to explore the creeks in the mornings when wildlife is especially active and searching for food. Howler monkeys, river otters, northern jacanas and caimans can all be seen.
Day 5: Tortuguero National Park to Arenal Volcano region
Days 5 to 7: Arenal Volcano region | Meals: Breakfast
Drive to Arenal Volcano region, where there are hiking opportunities, beautiful waterfalls and wildlife and for the more active zip-lining and white water rafting. We also include a guided day boat trip to Cano Negro in search of wildlife.
Day 8: Arenal Volcano area to Monteverde Cloud Forest
Drive from the Arenal Volcano area to Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Days 8 and 9: Monteverde Cloud Forest | Meals: Breakfast
Monteverde Cloud Forest is bursting with wildlife. Guided plantation visits, canopy walks and zip lining for those interested.
Day 10: Monteverde Cloud Forest to Manuel Antonio
Drive from Monteverde Cloud Forest to Manuel Antonio.
Days 10 to 12: Manuel Antonio | Meals: Breakfast
Manuel Antonio has some of the best beaches in the world where you can relax or enjoy watersports. Protected rainforest fringes many of the beaches with rainforest trails to explore and discover further species of Costa Rica’s abundant wildlife.
Day 13: Manuel Antonio to San Jose for the flight home
Drive to San Jose for the return flight to London.
Day 14: London
Arrival in London.
