Your itinerary

Day 1: London to San Jose

Fly to San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital city.

Days 1 and 2: Saraquipi

In the northeast of Costa Rica, this rural area has abundant vegetation with many areas untouched by civilisation. The Saraquipi river runs through the middle of this area, offering access to a wide diversity of flora and fauna.

Days 3 and 4: Tortuguero

On the Caribbean coast, Tortuguero is known for its forests and mangrove swamps traversed by canals. Turtles breed on the beaches here and there, and there is a wide variety of animals and birds to be observed in this unspoilt area.

Days 5 and 6: Turrialba

Turrialba is a small town in the rural centre of Costa Rica. Pacuare River, on which you can go rafting, winds through the area. This different ecosystem is home to different species of birds.

Days 7 and 8: San Gerardo de Dota

In the Central Valley of Costa Rica, it is part of the cloud forest with its rich and diverse flora and fauna. A favourite spot for birdwatchers, in particular, hoping to see the beautiful Quetzal.

Days 9 and 10: Corcovado

On the Pacific Coast, this area has almost 50% of the biodiversity of Costa Rica. A great place to enjoy wildlife and nature on land and in the sea, Snorkel to catch a glimpse of turtles, sharks, dolphins and much more.

Days 11 to 13: Puerto Jimenez

On the Osa Peninsula, this quiet corner of Costa Rica is another important place where many of the country’s flora and fauna can be found.
