Days 1 and 2: London to Belize City
Fly overnight to Belize City, Belize’s capital city.
Day 2: Belize City to Pine Forest region
Morning arrival in Belize City for transfer to Mountain Pine Ridge.
Days 2 to 4: Mountain Pine Ridge | Meals: Breakfast
Mountain Pine Forest is an area of pine forest of extreme natural beauty. Those with an interest in nature will find flora, wildlife and birds as abundant as anywhere in Central America, and there are miles of hiking and biking trails to explore. During your stay, you will enjoy a day excursion in canoes through underground caverns inspecting Mayan remains and a visit to a butterfly farm.
Day 5: Mountain Pine Ridge to Peten
Drive from Mountain Pine Ridge to Peten across the border in Guatemala.
Days 5 to 7: Peten | Meals: Breakfast
Peten has the largest protected forest area in Central America, with outstanding wildlife as well as numerous archaeological sites to explore. Next day a full-day guided tour to the ruins of the Mayan city of Tikal. When the city was abandoned, the vegetation returned, and its pyramids now appear to grow out of the jungle.
Day 8 : Peten to Placencia
Transfer from Peten to Placencia.
Days 8 to 10: Placencia | Meals: Breakfast
Placencia is on the pristine coast of Belize. For three days, you can enjoy swimming and snorkelling in crystal-clear turquoise waters above an untouched barrier reef. On land, there is jungle and the world’s only jaguar reserve.
Day 11: Placencia to Belize City for the flight home
A short flight to Belize City, where you connect to your return flight to London.
Day 12: London
