Jamaica is one of the largest Caribbean islands. In common with others, its beaches and climate are major attractions. The centre of the island is mountainous and temperate, providing further allure with its diverse ecosystems hosting a wealth of plants and animals.

Many of the resorts are on the north coast. Montego Bay over the years has attracted the rich and the famous and has been the haunt of royalty. Ocho Rios is the second major resort on the north coast with excellent beaches. Negril was ‘discovered’ by the hippies in the 1960s. They loved its laid-back ambience complemented by some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Its waters offer world-class diving and a wealth of watersports.

Jamaica has much more to offer than watersports. On land, you can enjoy golf (with a choice of 12 courses), horse riding, cycling and more. Get back to nature in the rainforests, alive with tropical birds and animals. Hike in the Blue Mountains and keep your energy up with one of the world’s best (and most expensive) coffees from the very same mountain region.

For something a little different go bobsledding in Mystic Mountains or sample the finest rum at a historic distillery. In the evening, enjoy good food and the sounds of reggae rhythms. That is what holidays in Jamaica are all about!
