Your itinerary
Day 1: London to Cape Town
Fly to Cape Town, South Africa’s iconic city.
Days 2 to 4: Cape Town
Whilst in this beautiful city, take time to visit the magnificent Botanical Gardens, visit the Two Oceans Aquarium, a window into the sea life around the coasts and travel to Boulders Beach to see the penguins.
Days 5 and 6: Gansbaai
Stay in an eco-paradise in the midst of the Cape floral kingdom and its ancient milkwood forests. You will see the incredible array of flora and marine life of the southern tip of Africa. Home of the “Marine Big 5” – whales, sharks, dolphins, seals and penguins, as well as the natural fynbos and over 900 species of plants and 23 species of mammals.
Day 7: Swellendam
Picturesque farming town, stop over on the way to the Garden Route.
Days 8 to 10: Knysna
On the coast at the end of the Garden Route. Take a ferry to a nature reserve, swim with seals and visit three local conservation projects, where you will not only see amazing wildlife but also learn about the dangers they face and efforts being made to protect them for the future.
Days 11 to 13: Eastern Cape
Three nights staying on a safari lodge to seek out the ‘Big Five’ under the expert guidance of trackers and guides.
Day 14: Flight to UK
Time to catch an overnight flight back to the UK.
Day 15: London
Arrival back in London.
